Flight diverted over $12 blanket fee

A Las Vegas-to-Hawaii flight was diverted to Los Angeles after a dispute over a blanket fee. Police said a 66-year-old man on Hawaiian Airlines Flight 7 was cold and “became unruly” over a $12 blanket fee. The flight was diverted to LAX after the man told the flight crew “he needed to take someone behind the woodshed” for the fee, an authority said. Airport officers met the aircraft at the gate and conducted an investigation with the FBI. The investigation showed no credible threats were made and no laws were broken.
